Anton V. Bilyk (Kabal)

Senior Sergeant Anton Bilyk (call sign Kabal) fought his last battle on May 5, 2024 near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region. He went on a combat mission and did not return. The warrior was forever 25 years old. Anton was born in the village of Pastuche, Ternopil region. He lived in Chortkiv. He obtained a higher economic education at the West Ukrainian National University. He worked as a senior receiver at "Nova Poshta". In his free time, he loved to fish. The man was drafted into military service on July 27, 2023. He underwent military training in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic, where he showed high results. Later, he went to the front as part of the 141st separate infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of squad commander. He received the award "Cross of Military Honor". "My brother was a man of word and deed, honest, always approached any task with optimism, had a good heart, was ruthless to the enemy, but very caring and loving to his relatives and friends, he was a true son of Ukraine. His comrades-in-arms respected him, regardless of age. He did not lay down his arms and defended Ukraine until his last breath and was together with his comrades," said the brother of the deceased, Andriy Bilyk. Anton was buried in his native village. The defender left behind parents and a brother.
