Anton V. Iliushchenko (Tokha)

Senior Sergeant Anton Iliushchenko (call sign Tokha) was killed on December 30, 2022 in a hospital in Dnipro. The day before, in a battle with the occupiers near the settlement of Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region, the fighter received serious injuries. Doctors fought for his life, but the warrior's heart could not withstand it. He was 31 years old. Anton was born in the village of Malynivka, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the Sloviansk Technical School of Railway Transport with a specialization in "Power Supply". He lived in Izium. He worked as an electrician at the Izium REM. He loved to repair equipment and was very good at it. He bought disassembled and broken motorcycles, scooters and engaged in their restoration. He never refused to help anyone. During the full-scale invasion, Anton joined the territorial defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 122nd battalion of the 113th brigade of the TRO. "My husband was an extraordinarily bright and kind person. He had a great sense of humor, which attracted those around him. He took up the defense of our state on the first day of the full-scale invasion. And although he looked death in the eye more than once, he never regretted his choice, because he knew for whom and for what he was standing there, and he was not going to give up!" - said the wife of the fallen Anna. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Anton was awaited by his parents, wife and son.
