Arkadii H. Semykin (Chekh)

Soldier Arkadiy Semikin (call sign Chekh) was killed on April 1, 2022, while repelling an enemy attack in the area of Rozdolne village in Donetsk region. The warrior was 36 years old forever. Arkadiy was born and lived in Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from Zaporizhzhia National Technical University with a degree in "Machine Engineering Technology." He worked in the Czech Republic at the "FOXCONN-CZ" factory. He was passionate about weapons. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he did not hesitate to defend his country from the enemy. He served in the 6th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "He was always a cheerful, brave man. Everyone loved and respected him very much. I can't believe this. You are our Hero. Forever in our hearts. Eternal memory," wrote the wife of the fallen, Olena Nikolova. Arkadiy was buried at the St. Nicholas cemetery in his hometown of Zaporizhzhia. He is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter. Posthumously, the defender was awarded the Order of Courage III degree.
