Armen S. Ohanesian

20-year-old serviceman Arman Ohanyan was killed in action on June 22, 2022, during battles for Severodonetsk in Luhansk region. Arman was born in Kramatorsk. He stu at the local school No. 23. He loved sports: was engaged in wrestling, trained with the football team "Patriot", played for the amateur football club "Kilikia". With the words: "How can I look my friends in the eye?", the guy decided to go into service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2021. He signed a contract with the 81st separate airmobile brigade. During his service, he was awarded the honorary breastplate "For exemplary service in the military" of the III and II degrees. From the very beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion, he fought on the front line. Shortly before his death, Arman received a leave and was able to be at home and see his mother. On June 22, 2022, in Severodonetsk, during a battle, Arman and his comrades were covered by enemy mortar fire. The military ran for cover, Arman was wounded and slightly fell behind the others, so he ran to the nearest house. However, there was a Russian machine gunner who shot the guy at close range. Then an enemy tank shell hit this house. Arman's body has not been retrieved yet. "If you don't have the strength to win, then have the strength not to give up." Brother, this quote is about you. You are the embodiment of courage and bravery. You didn't give up even in your last minutes. As you used to say: "I'd rather live less, but with dignity."
