- Soldier Arsen Zarutskyi (call sign Poliak) was killed on December 31, 2022, in the city of Soledar, Donetsk region. During the repulsion of the enemy's assault actions, he received a fatal shrapnel wound to the chest. At first, the fighter was considered missing, and in March 2023, his family confirmed his death. The warrior was 36 years old. Arsen was born in the city of Rivne. He graduated from Odesa Vocational School No. 16, where he obtained the profession of plasterer and tiler. In civilian life, he worked as a mechanic at PE "TA-NO Trailers Ukraine". He loved music very much, wrote music and poetry. He lived with his family in the village of Perespa, Volyn region. After the start of the full-scale war, he joined the defense of the country as part of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He held the position of a grenade launcher in the rifle platoon of the rifle company of the rifle battalion. "My husband was very intelligent, kind, and talented. He loved my son and me very much. He wrote music, which was his hobby, as well as poems dedicated to me. He knew English, German, and Polish well. Arsen was calm and balanced, always comforted me, said that everything would be fine. And even when he was at war, he reassured me, said that everything would be fine with him, because we pray for him. When he was killed, a part of me was killed with him, I now exist, not live... Only our son, who is a copy of his father in everything, keeps me in this world," said the wife of the fallen Liubov. The warrior was buried in the village of Perespa, Volyn region. Arsen Zarutskyi is survived by his parents, brother, wife, and son. Posthumously, Soldier Arsen Zarutskyi was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
