Artem A. Korsun

Soldier Artem Korsun was killed in action on July 16, 2022, in battle near the village of Pokrovskoye in Donetsk region. He suffered fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 31 years old. Artem Korsun was born in the village of Dzyubanivka, Poltava region. He received two higher educations. The first one - at the Poltava State Agrarian Academy in the specialty "Processes, machines and equipment of agro-industrial enterprises", the second - at the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies in the specialty "Technologies of storage and processing of grain". He worked as the chief engineer of the Lutoviniv elevator in the agro-industrial holding "Astarta-Kyiv". The man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 17, 2022. He was called up to the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade. He served as a grenade launcher in the 13th separate battalion. Artem was buried in the village of Lutovinovka, Poltava region, where he lived with his family. Artem's mother, stepfather, brother, wife and two children remained. A memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the lyceum in the village of Olenivka to the deceased graduate.
