- Soldier Artem Patei died on November 8, 2023 during the assault on enemy positions near the settlement of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. The warrior was forever 20 years old. Artem was born in Zaporizhzhia. After finishing school, he entered the Kyiv National Transport University, studying "Software Engineering". In his 3rd year, he decided to join the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. Artem defended the country as part of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov". He served in the mortar platoon of the special purpose (on armored personnel carriers) of the 2nd Special Purpose Battalion. "Artem has been engaged in ballroom dancing since childhood, then for four years - football, kayaks and guitar. He even entered a music school, but did not graduate. At school, he performed at all concerts and competitions, and could participate in six out of eight numbers. He participated in many Olympiads. The son received many diplomas and awards. Artem has a diploma of the 1st degree at the regional level for winning the All-Ukrainian game "Sonyashnik". Somewhere from the age of 13, he was interested in politics, for some time he wanted to become a political scientist. From a young age, the son showed a remarkable interest and love for the customs of Ukrainians, the history of Ukraine, the depths and traditions of his family and the legendary Cossack glory," said his mother Liliya. The defender was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in his hometown. Artem's parents are left behind. Artem Patei was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree and the medal of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine "For Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine".Memory Platform 'Memorial'
