Artem A. Sadovskyi

Soldier Artem Sadovskyi (call sign "Academician") died on October 6, 2023, near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. During the performance of a combat mission, the fighter received fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar shelling. The warrior was 28 years old. Artem was born in the city of Yuzhne (now Pivdenne) in the Odesa region. He studied at Lyceum No. 3 "Author's School of M.P. Huzyk". In civilian life, he worked at "Nova Poshta". He was passionate about the IT field and playing the guitar. During the full-scale war, the man became a fighter of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 81st separate airmobile brigade. He was a rifleman - a grenade launcher assistant. "Artem was a bright and kind person. He was a wonderful father and husband, a loving son and a faithful friend. It's still hard to believe. Time has passed since he's gone, but the pain in the heart is still there, as if it was just yesterday. It's very sad that the war is taking away the best ones," shared his wife Anastasia. Artem was buried at the Sychavske cemetery in Pivdenne. The defender left behind parents, brothers, sisters, a wife, and a daughter. The paratrooper was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree and the "For Merit to the City of Yuzhne" award.
