Artem D. Tolochko (Zevs)

Military serviceman Artem Tolochko was killed on September 17, 2022, during the fighting for the Kharkiv region. The defender was 36 years old. Artem was from Lviv. He stu at Lyceum No. 81 named after Petro Sahaydachny. He was a multiple prizewinner in sports competitions. He obtained higher education at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic." Later, he worked as the deputy director of LLC "Ekohalychprodukt." He was passionate about cars and mountain tourism, and he adored animals. He was an active participant in the patriotic movement. After the full-scale invasion, he initially joined the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He then transferred to the 101st Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As part of this unit, he went to carry out combat missions in the Kharkiv region, where he fought his last battle. "My dear brother Artem Tolochko and his godfather Yuriy Popov were killed in Kharkiv region by Russia, and this is what I really want you — my friends and his, our family, anyone in the end — to remember. They and thousands of other boys and girls like them must be avenged. Avenged by our deeds, our words, and our thoughts. Every guilty person must be and will be punished. Heroes, unfortunately, die. Only their legacy and their idea are eternal. We must carry it," wrote his sister Olena Tolochko. The defender was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Artem is survived by his parents, sister, wife, daughter, and son.
