Artem I. Khovanskyi (Dahda)

Defender Artem Khovanskyy (call sign Dagda) was killed on October 2, 2022, as a result of a hostile air strike in the area of the village of Ternі in the Donetsk region. In November, the warrior would have turned 24 years old. Artem was born in the village of Yosypivka, Odesa region. He lived in Kherson. After school, he received secondary specialized education as a locksmith-auto mechanic and gas-electric welder. He dreamed of opening his own auto repair shop. He studied several languages. He adored traveling, cats, and the ocean. During the full-scale war, Artem defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 49th separate rifle battalion "Carpathian Sich". He was the commander of a mortar group in the fire support platoon. "A good son, the best friend, and an extraordinarily talented person. Forever in the ranks," said the mother of the fallen Oksana. The defender was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Artem is survived by his mother and brother.
