- Sergeant Artem Babich was killed on July 5, 2023, in a military hospital in Kremenchuk, Poltava region. The warrior's heart could not withstand. He was 32 years old. Artem was born and lived in Shostka, Sumy region. He graduated from school No. 7. Then he obtained the profession of an electromechanical technician at the Ivan Kozhedub Shostka Professional College. From childhood, he was fascinated by electrical engineering - he loved to assemble and repair various devices, he was an inventor. He worked at the Shostka Research Institute of Chemical Products and the Farmkhim company. In 2019, the man signed a contract and went to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. For exemplary military service, he was repeatedly awarded honorary diplomas and the medal "Unbreakable Heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian War". Artem met the full-scale invasion near Chernihiv, where his unit carried out combat missions. He was a signaler. Later, together with his comrades-in-arms, he took part in the defense of Bakhmut and Soledar in the Donetsk region. "Artem signed a contract on July 22, 2019 and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking the position of a signaler. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Soledar. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, he has gone with the battalion to defend the Chernihiv region. Then he was near Bakhmut. On June 22, 2022, we got married and raised our son and daughter, whom he loved very much," said the warrior's wife, Snizhana. The serviceman was buried in the Alley of Glory in his hometown. He is survived by his wife, two children, relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
