- 21-year-old paratrooper Artem Maksyuk was killed on April 28, 2022, in the Kharkiv region while performing a combat mission. An enemy tank shell hit his BTR. Artem was born in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region. According to his mother, he had a talent for drawing and creating something new, and also a great desire for justice and love for his homeland. After completing his studies in the fall of 2020, Artem was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. From the end of 2021, he was in the east of the country, defending his homeland from the enemy. Having come of age, my son had courage, reliability in matters, and love in his heart, was fair and honest, always welcoming and respected his elders. He had the courage and courage to make an independent decision to go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defend his homeland. My son is my pride. I wanted all mothers I had to communicate with to have such a son, because it's happiness. Every day I heard the best words: "Mom, I love you, don't worry, everything is fine, I'll come to you soon, I'll hug you strongly-strongly, I miss you, I'll return for your sake, you just wait a little, I'll help you, I'll come back, wait, a little more, I love you, hug my brothers, I love them too and miss them," said the hero's mother, Tetyana Vasylivna. The serviceman was buried in the Alley of Glory of the International Cemetery in his native Fastiv. Artem left behind his mother and two underage brothers.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
