Artem O. Murakhovskyi (Olifant, Murakha)

Artem Murakhovsky was born on May 7, 1993, in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). After graduating from Dnipropetrovsk Secondary School No. 148, he stuwas killed programming at a vocational college of rocket and space engineering. He then enrolled at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. He also graduated from the private educational institution "Ukrainian National IT Factory" in Kyiv. With the start of the Revolution of Dignity, he actively participated in protests in his hometown and was under investigation. In the winter of 2014, he was injured in the neck by a traumatic pistol during a confrontation with thugs near the building of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration. In 2015, during the war in eastern Ukraine, he initially volunteered for the "Azov" regiment. Two years later, he continued his service as part of the National Guard of Ukraine - in the separate special purpose unit "Azov". As part of the ATO forces, he was on the front line in Donetsk region. After completing his military service, he returned home. He worked as a programmer in an IT company by profession and conducted seminars for beginner programmers. He became known as a well-known street artist, launching the all-Ukrainian street art project "Olifant". On the first days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he voluntarily enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 25th Airborne Brigade. He was on the front line. He was killed on March 7, 2022, in the battles near the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk region. The brave warrior was laid to rest on April 6, 2022. Artem Murakhovsky was buried at the Kransopilsky cemetery in the city of Dnipro.
