Artem O. Pryimak

Major Artem Priymak was killed on November 14, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Kostomarove in the Kherson region. The officer was 29 years old. Artem was born in the village of Tysovets in the Lviv region. He studied at the Koziv Lyceum named after Mykhailo Havrylko. He then chose the path of a serviceman. In 2014, he graduated from the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi in Lviv. After graduation, the young officer joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the ATO/OOS in Donbas. During the full-scale war, Artem defended Ukraine from the occupiers as part of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He commanded an artillery battalion. In October, a month before his death, Major Artem Priymak was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd Class. "A very bright person, he was always positive and supported everyone; he was undoubtedly a professional in his field. We are proud of him, as he is a true Hero," said the wife of the deceased's brother. "Artem, I remember you as smiling and kind since school; I am proud to have known you... You will forever remain in our hearts. Eternal memory to you, Hero of Ukraine!" wrote Olesya Prysyazhnyuk. "An officer who was an example for his comrades-in-arms has fallen; a father, husband, son, brother, and friend is no longer with us... We all must understand that the price of our freedom, the price of our peace, is the lives of the best sons and daughters of our land. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends," noted the Koziv village council. The officer was buried in the village of Kozyova in the Lviv region. Artem is survived by his parents, brother, wife, and a son who was 4 years old at the time of his father's death.
