Artem O. Sharipov (Timon)

Artem Sharipov (call sign Timon), a defender of Mariupol, was killed on May 3, 2022, during the defense of the Azovstal plant from Russian occupiers. The warrior was only 34 years old. Artem was born in the village of Grabovo, Donetsk region. He completed 9 grades of school and immediately went to work. He worked in a mine for 10 years. In his free time, he loved to fish and repair cars. During the Russian-Ukrainian war, Artem participated in the ATO/JFO in Donbas. Since 2016, he fought in the ranks of the Azov Regiment as part of the National Guard of Ukraine. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, together with his comrades-in-arms, the man continued to defend Ukraine from the Russian occupiers. He held the position of head of the warehouse service of the KES. "Artem was and remains the best husband and dad. Our pride and honor, a true patriot of his land! Fair, responsible, honest, kind," said the wife of the fallen Yulia. Artem left behind a wife and two sons. Posthumously, Sergeant Artem Sharipov was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
