- 29-year-old junior sergeant Artem Sushko (call sign July) was killed on November 21, 2022 during a battle with the occupiers near the village of Bilohorivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter's life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. Artem was born in the city of Mala Vyska, Kirovohrad region. After school, he graduated from the local vocational school No. 16, obtained the profession of a mason-plasterer and electric welder. Then he served in the army. After demobilization, he worked as a laborer. He loved to spend time with his family, play board and computer games, go on picnics, and watch movies. He also wrote poetry and loved to sing. In 2014, as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he participated in the ATO in Donbas. He was awarded the President of Ukraine's award "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation". With the start of the full-scale war, Artem again went to defend Ukraine. He fought as part of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. He was the gunner of a machine gun unit. "Tyoma was kind, loved life very much, and loved us with mom. He was hardworking and never shied away from work. Every day he radiated positivity. He went to defend Ukraine - both in 2014 and in 2022 - immediately at the beginning of the war. Without hesitation, he stood up for the Motherland. The fact that he was killed on the Day of Dignity and Freedom is very symbolic. Artem lived his short life very worthily. When he was at war, he never complained, but even encouraged us with mom," said the sister of the fallen Tetyana. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory in his hometown. At home, Artem was awaited by his mother and sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
