- Sergeant Artem Zhilinskyi (call sign Zhulik) was killed on May 9, 2023 in the hospital. On May 3, he was seriously wounded while defending against Russian occupants in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. He saved his comrade but did not survive himself. The warrior was 40 years old. Artem was born and lived in Kyiv. By profession, he was a lawyer. He obtained a higher education at the National Academy of Internal Affairs. In civilian life, he was engaged in entrepreneurial activities. He deeply loved his family and adored spending time with his loved ones. He was passionate about shooting and engaged in hand-to-hand combat. With the start of the full-scale war, the man defended the capital as part of the local Territorial Defense Forces. In May 2022, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade, holding the position of a platoon commander. He participated in many special operations in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. "Incredibly bright, kind, and always ready to help. A lawyer by vocation and education. Artem dedicated his entire life to serving the Ukrainian people and was killed as an unbreakable and courageous Hero of his Motherland," said the warrior's mother, Natalia Stepanivna. The hero is buried in the Alley of Glory at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Artem is survived by his mother, wife, two daughters, as well as other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
