- 22-year-old Azov fighter Artem Mosha (call sign Kraken) was killed on May 8, 2022, defending the city of Mariupol. He, along with his comrades, defended the Azovstal plant, where fierce battles raged for several months. The Russians shelled the plant with all available weaponry. During another shelling, a bomb shelter collapsed, where fighters were at that time. Among them was Artem. The defender was born and lived in Kyiv. He received a secondary education. At the age of 18, he served in the border troops in Transcarpathia. He had been involved in sports since childhood and had championship titles by his teenage years. He was a candidate for master of sports in boxing and a heavyweight champion of the capital. Later, he became a coach. In 2020, Artem signed a contract and joined the Azov regiment. He performed combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, the soldier defended Mariupol. He was a BMP driver. "He was very brave from childhood and dreamed of a military career. Since adolescence, he engaged in sports, and unlike other children, he was very strong and of robust build. He participated in various sports competitions, often winning prizes. He was very honest and fair, constantly standing up for the weaker. He also helped many children from low-income families, orphans, and children with disabilities. He acted as a sponsor and also participated directly. A caring brother and loving son, he didn't always express his feelings for his family in words, but constantly showed it through actions," said the sister of the fallen warrior, Oleksandra-Anna Mosha. "He with dignity, defending Ukraine. God took him home... Mom, who loves and awaits the meeting. We will see each other. Thank you for the peaceful sky," wrote his mother, Iryna Yehorchenko. The Hero was buried at the Berkovetsky cemetery in the capital. At home, his mother and sister were waiting for Artem. Posthumously, soldier Artem Mosha was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
