Artem S. Orlianskyi

31-year-old intelligence officer Artem Orlyanskyi (call sign Tornado) died on August 13, 2023 near the settlement of Vilshany in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he fell into an enemy ambush and was seriously wounded. During the provision of assistance, two tourniquets broke. The soldier died from blood loss. Artem was a native of Odesa. He graduated from school. Then he studied at the Computer Academy "SHAG". After his studies, he served in the ranks of the Air Defense Forces. He worked as an administrator in the Santim supermarket. He was fond of sports, practicing karate, athletics, and volleyball. He participated in archaeological expeditions. He loved and rescued animals. With the start of the full-scale war, the man voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as he loved his homeland very much and wanted to protect it from the enemy. He served in the 95th separate airborne assault brigade. He was in reconnaissance and carried out complex combat missions. "My son loved life, sports, his family, his city and his favorite Berezansky Island, where he participated in archaeological excavations every summer. He was cheerful and had many friends," said Iryna Orlyanskа. The warrior was buried at the Western Cemetery in his hometown. Artem Orlyanskyi left behind his parents and two sisters. The soldier Artem Orlyanskyi was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
