- Senior Sergeant Artem Boiko (call sign Tataryn) was killed on February 5, 2023 in a shootout with the occupiers near the village of Mykolaivka in the Donetsk region. In January, the defender turned 33 years old. Artem was born in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He graduated from the Sloviansk Professional Lyceum of Railway Transport, obtained the specialty of a mechanic for the repair of rolling stock, and a manual welding electric welder. He was a participant in the ATO in Donbas. In civilian life, he worked for the security company "Venbest". On the second day of the full-scale war, on February 25, 2022, the man again took up the defense of the Motherland from the enemy. He served in the ranks of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade "Edelweiss". He held the position of senior sergeant of the rifle platoon. During all periods of service, the man had awards, in particular the medals "Participant of Combat Operations", "Dignity and Honor", "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation", "For Combat Valor". "Artem was a true warrior who saved more than one life and led his comrades-in-arms out of encirclement, being already wounded. He was fair, courageous, and brave. Our hero will forever remain in our memory and will live forever in our hearts. Two children, a daughter and a young son, whom Artem saw very little, were left without a father. The daughter still believes that dad will come back soon, and the son will not even remember his father alive," wrote the wife of the fallen. The warrior was buried in the city of Yaremche in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where he lived with his family. Artem is survived by his wife Mariana, daughter Vladyslava, and son Marko. The children were 5 and 1 year old at the time of their father's death, respectively.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
