Artem V. Dementii (Hard)

Senior soldier Artem Dementiy (call sign Hard) was killed on May 9, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Katerynivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 33 years old. Artem was born and lived in Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from Zaporizhzhia National Technical University. He was a private entrepreneur, engaged in the production of windows. He was married and raised daughters, whom he adored. He was passionate about computer games. He practiced Thai boxing. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man without hesitation joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his Homeland. He served in the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He was a signaler. "Artem was the kindest person in the world. He helped everyone: both people and animals. He went to defend his Homeland and family, because who, if not him?" - said the wife of the fallen Kateryna. The defender was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in his native Zaporizhzhia. Artem is survived by his wife and two daughters.
