- 27-year-old serviceman Artem Kozakevych (call sign Sonic) was killed on November 25, 2023, in the Kharkiv direction. He sustained fatal injuries in the village of Ivanivka, Kupiansk district. Artem was from the city of Polohy, Zaporizhzhia region, and lived in the village of Ivana Franka. He graduated from the Zaporizhzhia Vocational Lyceum of Motor Transport, where he obtained the profession of a mechanic. He loved technology and was very knowledgeable about cars. He worked at Dniprokeramika LLC and the Dobra Glyna ceramic workshop. In March 2023, he voluntarily joined the defense of Ukraine and enlisted in the 43rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of deputy commander of a combat vehicle, gunner-operator of the 2nd mechanized platoon, 3rd mechanized company, 2nd mechanized battalion. "Artem loved his family very much - his wife and daughter Anya, whom he adored. When the war started, he could not remain on the sidelines, so he went to defend his loved ones. He was very skilled, and everything he took on, he did wonderfully. He performed combat missions excellently, repeatedly saved the wounded, was a loyal friend, and had authority among his comrades," said his wife Vladyslava Kozakevych. Artem was buried in the Alley of Glory of the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. The defender is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
