Artem V. Us

Born on August 30, 1994, in the village of Markivtsi, Bobrovytsia district, Chernihiv region. Graduated from the general education school in the village of Markivtsi. From April 25, 2013, he served in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (since March 2014 - the National Guard of Ukraine). He served as a senior machine gunner of the armored personnel carrier of the 3rd section of the 1st platoon of the operational designation company of the 1st battalion of operational designation of the Northern operational-territorial association of the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3027 - the village of Novi Petrivtsi, Vyshhorod district, Kyiv region). From August 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. At the end of August 2014, the unit in which Senior Soldier Us served was preparing a "corridor" for the withdrawal of surrounded Ukrainian military units near the city of Ilovaisk in the Donetsk region. On August 29, 2014, Senior Soldier Us was mortally wounded in the head by a shell fragment in the area of the city of Komsomolske, Starobeshivskyi district, Donetsk region. On September 1, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Markivtsi, Bobrovytsia district, Chernihiv region.
