Artem Yu. Homoniuk (Yenot)

Soldier Artem Gomonyuk (call sign Raccoon) was killed on March 12, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the village of Ternі, Donetsk region. Artem was 31 years old. He was born in the village of Irshansk, Zhytomyr region. He graduated from a vocational and technical school, and then from the Faculty of Engineering Mechanics at Zhytomyr Polytechnic. He obtained a specialist's degree in automotive transport and automotive management. In civilian life, he worked as a truck driver. He loved cars and adored traveling. He was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 18, 2022. He was a rifleman, a member of the crew of the 4th air assault platoon of the 95th separate air assault brigade. He received the medal "Always First!". "He was a bright and kind person. A wonderful friend. He was always ready to help, no matter what. He loved his life very much and adored making nice surprises for everyone," said Yana Antonyuk. The defender was buried in the cemetery of his native village. Artem is survived by his parents, sister, and sons.
