Artem Yu. Redia (Redia)

Company commander Artem Redya was killed on April 15, 2022, during the defense of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. An enemy shell hit the officer's armored personnel carrier. The defender was 35 years old. Artem was born and raised in Kharkiv. He graduated from the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", earning two management degrees with honors. Later, the man joined the ranks of the separate special purpose unit of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". He was initially the commander of a mortar platoon. For impeccable service, he was repeatedly commended and awarded by the command. At the start of the full-scale war, the man was the company commander in the Azov regiment. His unit bravely defended the city of Mariupol and fought fierce battles for Azovstal from the very beginning. Unfortunately, there was Redya's last battle. "Artem is a true warrior, courageous and fearless. I love and am very proud of my husband. He is my soul, my guardian angel, my love forever!" - said the defender's wife, Olena Tykha. Artem was buried in his native Kharkiv. At home, his beloved wife was waiting for him. Lieutenant Artem Redya was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
