- Senior Lieutenant Artemiy Holodyuk (call sign Maramus) died on November 12, 2022, during mine clearance operations after the liberation of Kherson region from the occupiers. He received a fatal injury near the village of Charivne. The officer was 23 years old. Artemiy was born in the city of Novovolynsk in the Volyn region. In 2020, he graduated from the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy in Lviv. He loved to go hunting with his father and swim in water bodies. He enjoyed singing karaoke. He dreamed of traveling, seeing the world, having his own home, a family, and a son. But it was not meant to be. After graduation, the officer served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He commanded an engineering and sapper platoon. During the full-scale invasion, Maramus, along with his unit, continued to defend Ukraine on the front lines. "The son grew up and embodied all the best qualities of a man. Calm, balanced, strong, sociable, and friendly, he remained faithful to his state and his people until the end. He called the work of a sapper the best job in the world," said the father of the fallen, Timur Hryhorovych. "Artemiy established himself as an extraordinarily brave and fearless officer. As his subordinates claim, he was always smiling, a reliable comrade, an example of professionalism and indomitable will. In his last interview, Artemiy noted that the work of a sapper is dangerous because it is extremely meticulous. He was convinced that all temporarily occupied territories would be liberated in the near future. However, it would take years, if not decades, to clear them of mines. Artem hoped that to expedite this process, Ukraine would involve foreign companies and organizations, and then they would work side by side with Ukrainian sappers for the safety of our citizens," it was written in NASV. The officer was buried in Novovolynsk. At home, his parents and younger sister were waiting for Artemiy.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
