- Born on January 13, 1977, in the village of Mezenivka, Krasnopil District, Sumy Region. In 1992, he graduated from the 8th grade of the secondary school (now an educational complex) in the village of Mezenivka, Krasnopil District, and in 1994, he graduated from the secondary school in the village of Slavhorod, Krasnopil District. Since 1994, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 1998, he graduated from the Military Institute of Artillery at Sumy State University (city of Sumy). From 1998 to 2000, he served as the commander of the control platoon of the reactive artillery battery of the reactive artillery division of the 1395th reactive artillery regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1310, the urban-type settlement of Malynivka, Chuhuiv District, Kharkiv Region). From 2000 to 2011, he was the commander of the battery, chief of staff - first deputy commander of the self-propelled howitzer artillery division of the brigade artillery group of the 92nd separate mechanized Ropshynskyi order of the October Revolution and Red Banner brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0501, village of Kluhyno-Bashkyrivka, Chuhuiv City Council, Kharkiv Region). In August 2011, he entered the Command and Staff Institute of Military Application (Forces) of the National Defense University of Ukraine (city of Kyiv), which he graduated from in June 2013. Since July 2013, he has been the commander of the mechanized battalion of the 1st separate guards tank Novgorod order of the Red Banner, Kutuzov, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Alexander Nevsky, and Red Star brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1815, the urban-type settlement of Honcharivske, Chernihiv District, Chernihiv Region). Since October 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On February 14, 2015, a column of Ukrainian military vehicles, led by Lieutenant Colonel Kostiuchenko, was marching. Upon entering the village of Petrivske, Volnovakha District, Donetsk Region, an infantry fighting vehicle BMP-2, which was at the head of the column, detonated on a mine. As a result of the explosion, mechanic-driver soldier Sklyar was killed on the spot, and Lieutenant Colonel Kostiuchenko sustained serious injuries, from which he died in the hospital. On February 17, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Mezenivka, Krasnopil District. In September 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Mezenivka, Krasnopil District, on the facade of the educational complex building (Troitska Street, 2), where Arthur Kostiuchenko studied. By the decision of the Mezenivka Village Council, the street Pervomaiska in the village of Mezenivka, Krasnopil District, was renamed to Arthur Kostiuchenko Street.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
