- Senior soldier Artur Zhyzerin (call sign Latvian) died on February 21, 2023, as a result of a drone attack in the village of Sukhyi Yaly in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 36 years old. Artur was born in Latvia, but in his teenage years he moved with his family to Ukraine. He graduated from school in the village of Antipivka, Cherkasy region. He then entered the Zolotonosha Vocational Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of a builder. He found a job at the Zlatogor liquor and vodka factory. Later, he studied at the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy. He worked at the Zolotonosha Machine-Building Plant, holding the position of Deputy Chief Engineer for Safety. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 43rd separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Taras Trasylo. He was awarded the medal "Participant of Combat Operations". Artur was buried in the city of Zolotonosha. The defender left behind a mother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
