Artur O. Chepura

Sergeant Artur Chepura (call sign Kavkaz) died on July 5, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region as a result of enemy shelling of Ukrainian positions. The defender was 30 years old. Artur was born in Odesa. He lived in the city of Yuzhne (now Pivdenne). He had a higher education. He was a border guard and a dog handler. He was passionate about football. During the full-scale invasion, he defended the country as part of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade. "Artur was an honest, fair person, always ready to help everyone who turned to him. He was cheerful and kind. I miss my little son very much," said his mother Vira. The defender was buried in the city of Pivdenne, Odesa region. The warrior left behind a mother and a daughter, who was 8 years old at the time of her father's death. Sergeant Artur Chepura was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd degree.
