- Paratrooper Artur Yarovyi (call sign Yarik) was killed from wounds on May 6, 2023. During the performance of a combat mission in Bakhmut on April 27, he sustained a gunshot shrapnel wound to the head as a result of enemy artillery shelling. He was evacuated to the Dnipro hospital and later to Kyiv, where he was killed in the intensive care unit. Artur would have turned 33 on June 7. He was born in the village of Horodkivka, Vinnytsia region. He studied at the local school, then enrolled in the correspondence department of Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi, where he obtained a degree as a history teacher. During his studies, he served under contract in Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region, and received the rank of junior sergeant. Since 2015, he had been working in Poland, living in Gdansk and restoring windows and balconies. In his free time, he was engaged in sports. When the full-scale war began, the man returned to his homeland and later joined the army. He served in the 77th Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a reconnaissance sapper in the reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company. Artur's younger sister Viktoriia Prysiazhna and his ex-wife Olha Kozak spoke about him, describing him as an example, a source of strength and support, a fair, sensitive, kind, strong, and always positive person who cared for his loved ones. The warrior was buried in the village of Horodkivka, Vinnytsia region. Posthumously, Junior Sergeant Artur Yarovyi was awarded the Order of Courage, Third Degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
