Artur V. Molnar (Archi)

35-year-old Sergeant Artur Molnar (call sign Archie) was killed on March 6, 2023 near the village of Pryvilla in Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he was fatally wounded by shrapnel while saving a comrade. Artur was born in the city of Khust, Zakarpattia region. He graduated from the Zakarpattia Forestry College with a specialty in "Woodworking". He worked as a tiler abroad, and before the invasion he was a trade representative. In his free time, he loved to play football, and in recent years he spent his free time renovating the family home. On weekends, he loved to go to the forest with his family. On February 28, 2022, the man voluntarily joined the ranks of the defenders and went to the front. He served in the 101st separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was the commander of a rifle squad. "My husband was always honest, fair and incredibly brave. He could not sit with his hands folded, so in the first days he took up the defense of the Motherland. He said he was going for the sake of our children and the children of the whole country," said Oleksandra Molnar. The defender was buried in his hometown. The hero left behind his mother Marina, sister Valeria, wife Oleksandra, daughters Julianna and Daryna. A memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the Zakarpattia College in honor of Artur Molnar.
