Artur V. Suremko (Zmii)

Sergeant Artur Suremko (call sign Snake) was killed on August 12, 2023 near the village of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained a fatal explosive injury. The defender was 38 years old. Artur was born in the village of Pavlivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. He obtained the profession of a reinforced concrete structures installer at a vocational school. In his free time, he loved to carve wood and draw. After getting married, he lived in the village of Sursʹko-Lytovske in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In civilian life, he worked at the "Eclipse Glass" company. He was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). With the start of the full-scale war, the man, having combat experience, once again took up the defense of his country from the enemy. Artur served in the 128th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He held the position of platoon sergeant. During his entire service, the soldier was awarded the following decorations: "Participant of the ATO", "For military service to Ukraine", "For exemplary military service" of the III degree, "Defender of the Fatherland", "Military Valor". "A person with a capital letter. This is a huge loss and pain in the soul for the relatives," wrote the wife of the fallen Tetyana. The warrior was buried in his native village. Artur is survived by his mother, sister, wife, son and daughter.
