Bohdan B. Pyliavets

Born on April 1, 1974, in the village of Trostyanets, Tyvriv district, Vinnytsia region. Graduated from high school. Served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract. Served in a military unit in the urban-type settlement of Voronovytsia, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region. Graduated from the Ternopil Academy of National Economy (now Ternopil National Economic University, city of Ternopil). After graduating from higher education, became an officer. Recently served as the commander of a company in the 230th Separate Logistics Base of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0549, city of Vinnytsia). Since autumn 2016, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. From November 18, 2016, served in the area of the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region. On November 27, 2016, junior lieutenant Pylyvets died as a result of an accident while on duty in the area of the village of Topolyne, Nikolske district, Donetsk region. According to the investigation materials, the death was caused by a traumatic brain injury resulting from a dumbbell falling on the soldier's head in the barracks. Buried in the cemetery of the village of Trostyanets, Tyvriv district, Vinnytsia region.
