Biography
Dobrobabenko Bohdan Hryhorovych was born on December 14, 1975, in the village of Sednivka in the Kirovohrad region. He graduated with a gold medal from the Sedniv general secondary school of grades I-III, and later from the Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after Eduard Didorenko. He was interested in diving. He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity. At the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, he volunteered to serve in the 42nd battalion of the Territorial Defense Forces. He went from being a grenade launcher to a company commander. In 2014, together with his comrades-in-arms, he was surrounded and escaped from the Ilovaisk cauldron. He was a participant in the defense of the city of Vuhledar. In 2016, after demobilization, he moved with his family to Lviv. He held the position of an instructor for training officers and headquarters at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center. After the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he was appointed commander of a company in the International Legion. Then he was transferred to the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he commanded an infantry company. He took part in the liberation of Ivanivka, Mykolaivka, Novopetrivka, Vysokopillia, Arkhanhelsk, Tryfonivka, and Olhyne in the Kherson region. He was killed on October 19, 2022, during an unsuccessful assault near the village of Piatykhatky in the Kherson region. He was buried on November 19, 2022, at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. He is survived by his wife and two sons.Burial place
