Bohdan I. Artemchuk

35-year-old Senior Sergeant Bohdan Artemchuk died from severe injuries on September 20, 2022. During the performance of a combat mission, the soldier sustained an explosive wound. The wounded warrior ended up in the occupied village of Pravdyne in the Kherson region. Local residents hid him from the occupiers, but there was no possibility to treat the warrior. Due to the lack of medical assistance, the defender, unfortunately, died. Bohdan was buried in the village, and after the de-occupation, the body was exhumed and handed over to the family. Bohdan was born in the village of Viknyny, Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from high school. He was engaged in household activities. He loved fishing, animals, especially dogs. He was hardworking and skilled. He had golden hands. From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as an infantryman in the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade. "My brother is a bright and sincere person, we were very close, and we still are... We don't believe it, almost 2 years have passed since you're gone, but we're waiting for you and will always wait for you. Our Angel! Our Hero!" - wrote his sister Olena. The defender was buried in his native village. The defender is survived by his parents, two sisters, wife, and son. An information stand-tribute in honor of Bohdan has been installed on the Alley of Glory in the village of Biloghiria, Khmilnytskyi region.
