Bohdan M. Burykh (Aiaks)

Senior Sergeant Bohdan Burich (call sign Ajax) was killed on June 28, 2022 during the defense of the Kharkiv region from Russian occupiers. 11 days before this, he turned 26 years old. Bohdan was born in the city of Horlivka, Donetsk region. From a young age, he was passionate about sports and engaged in it in his free time. He did not have time to obtain a professional education, as the Russian-Ukrainian war began in 2014. The young man waited until he came of age and went to war. Ajax served in various units. He spent almost all his time at the front. He went through the most fierce sections of the front in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Bohdan fought in the ranks of the 3rd Operational Designation Brigade named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan. He served in the special forces company. "Bohdan is a Hero of Ukraine who went to war in 2014 and faithfully fulfilled his duties until 2022. The best man, unparalleled, the best son and father, a true Hero and military specialist. He served in various units, also served in Azov, where he gained invaluable experience," said the fallen fighter's wife, Valeria. The warrior's body was cremated. The ashes are kept by the family. Bohdan left behind a wife and daughter. The child he had dreamed of was born in the fall of 2022.
