- Senior soldier Bohdan Ilyin (call sign Shustry) was killed on July 3, 2024 near the village of Vysoke in the Sumy region. The life of the 30-year-old warrior was cut short by an anti-tank mine. Bohdan was born in the village of Zaluzhzhia in the Rivne region. From an early age, he was a curious and resourceful boy who loved to tinker and was well-versed in technology. After finishing school, he enrolled in the Zdolbuniv Vocational Lyceum of Railway Transport. He served his mandatory military service. In civilian life, he changed several jobs until he found his place at the "Southern Railway". For almost four years, he worked as a track maintainer at the Myrhorod station of the Hrebinka track section. He started a family and lived in the Poltava region. Colleagues describe him as a responsible, disciplined, and initiative worker who was respected in the team and knew his job well. On March 8, 2022, Bohdan was mobilized. He served in the 116th separate brigade of the territorial defense and held the position of driver-electrician. "He was calm, balanced, always ready to help others, and loved life," his acquaintances said about the defender. "A true warrior. A devoted comrade. A faithful friend. A loving father and husband. A son to be proud of," his comrades-in-arms added. Bohdan is survived by his parents, wife, and son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
