Bohdan M. Zasukhin

Lieutenant of Police Bohdan Zasukhin was killed on January 2, 2023 during duty at a checkpoint in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. As a result of enemy missile strikes, he sustained severe injuries and was killed instantly. The defender was only 24 years old. Bohdan was born and lived in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He stuwas killed at local school No. 22. Later, he obtained a higher education in Law at the Donetsk Law Institute. Since 2020, he worked as a district police officer at the Kramatorsk District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Donetsk region. During the full-scale invasion, the man continued to perform his duties and take necessary measures to defend his native city and Donetsk region from the occupiers. "Bohdan had dreamed of becoming a policeman since school. He was cheerful, caring and good-natured. He always cared for his loved ones. He was an example of resilience and courage for all his acquaintances and friends. He always knew the right words of support. For me, he was hope and support in this life. He will forever remain in my heart and soul. I miss him very much, without him my world has lost all its colors, life has been divided into 'before' and 'after'. Unfortunately, the war took him away," said the officer's mother Tetiana. The policeman was buried in the Alley of Heroes in his hometown. At home, Bohdan was awaited by his parents, grandmothers and beloved girlfriend.
