- Soldier Bohdan-Mykhailo Khomik (call sign Uvik) was killed on June 17, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Piatykhatky, Zaporizhia region. The defender was 28 years old. Bohdan-Mykhailo was born in the city of Vynnyky, Lviv region. He lived in Lviv. There he studied at secondary school No. 29. Then he graduated from Lviv Vocational School No. 64 (now Lviv Higher Vocational School of Design and Construction). After completing his studies, he served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. In peacetime, he worked at the Lviv Court of Appeal and the Territorial Office of the Judicial Protection Service in the Lviv region. At the beginning of 2021, he went on a military contract to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As part of the 15th Battalion of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, he carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. He met the full-scale invasion on the front lines of Donetsk and continued to defend Ukraine from the occupiers along with his comrades-in-arms. In April and June 2022, he was awarded the Order of Courage of the II and III degrees and the encouraging award "Cross of the Land Forces". "Bohdan was a very good and sensitive person. After being wounded in August 2022, he did not leave the thoughts of returning to the front so that my daughter and I could live in a free country, he was devoted to his state..." said the wife of the fallen warrior Vira. The hero was buried in the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Bohdan-Mykhailo is survived by his grandmother, mother, stepfather, wife and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
