- 25-year-old senior soldier Bohdan Andriichuk (call sign Bender) was killed on February 10, 2024 near the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. During the evacuation of a wounded comrade, he and his brothers-in-arms encountered a mine, the explosion of which caused him fatal shrapnel wounds. Bohdan was born in the city of Khmilnyk, Vinnytsia region. In childhood, he moved with his family to the village of Litin. There he studied at the local school No. 1. Then he obtained the profession of an automotive mechanic at the Vinnytsia Higher Vocational School. He worked at the Lityn meat processing plant and at the "BONUS-U" enterprise. He was passionate about cars and their repair. He was very knowledgeable in the field of traffic rules. He was interested in new amendments. In 2019, he decided to join the army and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Bohdan served in the 13th separate airborne assault battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine Taras Seniuk of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade. He carried out combat missions on the territory of the Joint Forces Operation. During the full-scale invasion, he held the position of senior driver. In 2023, he was awarded the Armed Forces of Ukraine decoration "Golden Cross". "My beloved defender was a very good person. He was ready to help everyone who needed it, he had a strong-willed character. He loved his brothers-in-arms very much, and the last time, despite being in the hospital due to back problems, he said that he had to return as soon as possible because the guys needed help. He was on an evacuation and saved more than one life. Bodychka is a ray of sunshine. When he was around, the smile never left his face. He is the best, the wisest and the bravest of all those I knew. For me, he will forever remain my Hero!" - Polina Lysenko said. The paratrooper was buried in the village of Litin, Vinnytsia region. Bohdan is survived by his mother, older sister and brother, nephews and a girlfriend.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
