Biography
Bohdan Ishchuk, born on June 3, 2001, in Koziatyn, Vinnytsia region, completed his education at Koziatyn School No. 2 and obtained the profession of assistant locomotive driver (thermal and electric) at Koziatyn Interregional Professional and Technical College. He then worked in his profession at the Koziatyn Locomotive Depot. Simultaneously, he enrolled in distance learning at Kyiv State University of Railway Transport, specializing in Locomotives and Locomotive Operations. He practiced Kyokushin Karate at the "Panda" club and was the champion of Vinnytsia region in Kyokushin Karate. In late 2020, Bohdan Ishchuk was conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served his mandatory service with the 15th Separate Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine, holding the position of senior officer in the 1st Patrol Platoon of the Rifle Battalion in Rubizhne, Luhansk region. At the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was stationed at the frontlines in Luhansk region. He was killed on March 31, 2022, during an artillery bombardment near Novodruzhesk, Luhansk region. The fallen hero was buried in his hometown of Koziatyn.Burial place
