Bohdan O. Kostiv (Bandit)

22-year-old marine Bogdan Kostiv (call sign Bandit) was killed on May 27, 2022, during a rocket attack near the city of Kherson. That day, many of his comrades also was killed. Bogdan was born in the village of Petrodolynske, Odessa region. He finished local school, then went to the army. After serving, he moved to Kyiv: he had been a military man for several years, serving our country. A very brave guy, he loved life and was not afraid to stand up for the Motherland. During the full-scale war, Bogdan defended Ukraine as part of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Counter Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi. "He was a very bright person, nothing bad can be said about him. Bodiya was so young, but so brave!.. He fought for our freedom, for our lives. We will never forget the deeds of our Hero. Eternal memory to you, angel!", - said his friend Katerina. "Eternal memory to our boy. Low bow to you, son, for defending our land from the accursed enemy at the cost of your own life. My heart is bleeding when our kids are dying. Kingdom of Heaven to you, son, rest in peace", - wrote the defender's mother. Bogdan was buried in his native village. The guy left behind loving parents, a younger brother, and friends.
