- 36-year-old soldier Bohdan Patsiora (call sign Old) was killed on April 9, 2023 in battle with the occupants in the Bakhmut area in Donetsk region. He managed to provide first aid to his comrades, but was fatally wounded in the head at his position. Bohdan was born in the village of Chornobayivka, Cherkasy region. He grew up in the city of Bar, Vinnytsia region, where he moved with his parents. His school years and youth passed there. He graduated from the Bar Automobile Technical School with a degree in "Organization of Transportation". Later, he decided to change his profession and moved to the capital. He obtained a higher education in "Banking" at the Kyiv Institute of Banking. He worked in his field for quite a long time, but life forced him to change the direction of his activities again. The man had a small business - he was engaged in trade. He planned to open a store and then expand it into a retail network. In his free time, he loved to relax with his family and friends. He was fond of football. With the start of the full-scale invasion on February 26, 2022, Bohdan joined the defense of the Motherland. He served in the ranks of the 120th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman of the 170th battalion. "Bohdan was a brave Hero of Ukraine. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the enemy country, he voluntarily went to defend his family and the people of Ukraine, without having any military experience. He was positive, cheerful, fair, faithful, strong and courageous, set a goal and went for it. Bohdan was an example of a caring son for his parents, the best father for his daughter, a beloved and caring husband for his wife, and a courageous and strong-willed warrior for Ukraine. He always told all his relatives and comrades-in-arms: "We are at war not until the end of the war, but until victory." Bohdan had boundless faith in victory," said the fallen warrior's wife. The military was buried on the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery in Bar. At home, Bohdan was awaited by his parents Oleksandr and Yulia, sister Aliona, wife Ivanna, daughter Anna, relatives and friends. The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
