Bohdan O. Tarusin

Tarusin Bohdan Oleksandrovych held the position of senior sergeant of police in the police platoon No. 2 of the special police patrol service "Skhid" of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region. He joined the unit shortly before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. He was killed on March 2, 2022, at 8:00 AM during the defense of the city of Kharkiv. The body of the deceased Bohdan Tarusin was retrieved from the rubble of the building of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Tarusin Bohdan Oleksandrovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
