Bohdan P. Vovk (Murchyk)

Soldier Bohdan Vovk (call sign Murchyk) was killed on December 28, 2022, in battle with the occupiers near the city of Soledar in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 34 years old. Bohdan was born in the city of Smila, Cherkasy region. He graduated from the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi Agro-Lyceum. Together with his family, he lived in Kyiv. He headed the LLC "Kyiv Business Street". He had his own network of cafes and a small car service station. He loved speed and adored riding his motorcycle. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Bohdan joined the ranks of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior driver of the anti-aircraft missile platoon. "He is my universe, the only love of my whole life! An incredible person with a big kind heart, energetic and very positive. He loved Ukraine and was fascinated by the Ukrainian people, a true son of his land," said the wife of the deceased, Olena. "The Rotmistrivka Village Council expresses sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. We share your grief and mourn with you. Unfortunately, the war takes the lives of the best. Eternal memory to the Hero, the brave defender, the true patriot and the worthy son of Ukraine!" - stated in the village council. The warrior was buried in the village of Rotmistrivka, Cherkasy region. Bohdan is survived by his parents, wife, daughter, sister and nephews.
