Bohdan R. Karimov

Soldier Bohdan Karymov was killed on March 8, 2022, during the defense of the Kharkiv region. He was only 21 years old. Bohdan was born in the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region. He graduated from Lyceum No. 4. He was an active participant in school life. Teachers were proud of Bohdan. In his free time, he loved to engage in sports, particularly football. The young man decided to pursue higher education at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Eastern Ukrainian National University named after Volodymyr Dahl. Bohdan did not wait to be drafted but instead chose to serve in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar". The young man was an example for many, a true patriot of his country. He never complained about his service, even when it was difficult. He diligently performed his duties and was always ready to defend his country. During his service, he was repeatedly awarded. "Bohdan was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew. Always kind, fair, responsible, conscientious, always ready to help others. Bohdan will remain a hero of Ukraine in our memory! You will always be in our hearts, son! I will never forgive the Russians for the death of my son. Bohdan always told me, 'Everything will be Ukraine, we will win.' I hope that the deaths of our sons will not be in vain and their comrades-in-arms will avenge them. And Ukraine will win!", said the defender's mother, Alla. The defender was buried at the Krasonopilsky cemetery in the city of Dnipro. At home, Bohdan was awaited by his mother, brother, grandfather, and grandmother. Soldier Bohdan Karymov was posthumously awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.
