Bohdan S. Hordiichuk

Soldier Bohdan Hordijchuk was killed on March 13, 2023 near the village of Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region. In the battle with the enemy, he received fatal injuries during a mortar bombardment. A month earlier, on February 2, the defender turned 28 years old. Bohdan was from the village of Kozyn, Rivne region. In 2014, he graduated from the Professional College of Information Technologies of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" and received the qualification of a telecommunications technician. Since 2014, when he turned 18, he started working at Nova Poshta LLC. The first two years - in Kozyn, then - in Radyvyliv. He was a courier, a receiver, and an operator. He was passionate about computers and technology. He understood programs, could set up a computer and repair it. The man was called up for the war in the fall of 2022. He passed tests on various parameters, primarily physical, and was selected for the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a grenade launcher assistant in the 25th separate airborne brigade. Later, the paratroopers were sent for training in the UK. After that, they defended the Izyum direction of the Kharkiv region, then went to the Kreminna area in the Luhansk region. Bohdan proved himself on the front lines and was considered one of the best. "Bohdan was a very kind, sensitive, bright and versatile person. A responsible and intelligent employee. Sociable, contact, clients loved him. He was a good, sociable guy. Always smiling, friendly, sincere and ready to help in any matter," his colleagues said. The paratrooper was buried in his native village. At home, Bohdan was awaited by his wife, son, loving family and friends.
