Bohdan S. Komisarenko (Komisar)

Soldier of the Territorial Defense Forces Bohdan Komisarenko (call sign Komisar) was killed on May 12, 2023, during assault operations near the village of Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 30 years old. Bohdan was born in the city of Lozova, Kharkiv region. He studied at Collegium No. 2. Then he graduated from the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with a degree in "Investigation and Inquiry". He worked as an investigator in the Lozova Police Department. After being discharged, he served under contract in the National Guard of Ukraine, in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. Later, he worked abroad. When the full-scale war began, the man returned to his homeland and joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces in his hometown. He held the position of rifleman in the 113th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unofficially, he was the commander of his unit. "He was very strong, strong-willed, always went forward on assaults, to the front line, to protect the country and his family. He returned from abroad in the first days of Russia's invasion of Ukrainian lands... He went as a volunteer for freedom, justice and independence two days later. The best dad and the most beloved husband..." - said the wife of the fallen warrior, Olha. The defender was buried in his hometown. Bohdan is survived by his parents, brother, sister, wife and two children.
