Bohdan T. Shevchuk (Sheva)

28-year-old junior sergeant Bohdan Shevchuk (call sign Sheva) was killed on July 26, 2023 near the village of Kuzmyne in Luhansk region. During a combat mission, he came under enemy sniper fire and suffered a fatal wound. Bohdan was born and raised in Ternopil. He graduated from Ternopil National Technical University named after Ivan Puluj. He held a managerial position at one of the enterprises in his hometown. In 2021, he bought a house in the village of Ozerna and started renovating it. He dreamed of his own programming workshop for machine tools. On February 24, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the defenders without hesitation. Bohdan served in the 15th separate regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman. In May 2022, he went to defend Luhansk region. He went through battles for Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Syrotyne, Kreminna. He received the award "Veteran of War". "Bohdan was a good person, he always supported everyone when it was needed, he helped. He was an example of masculine courage and wisdom," said his brother's wife Khrystyna Shevchuk. The National Guard soldier was buried in the village of Ozerna in the Ternopil region. Bohdan is survived by his mother, brother, grandfather, grandmother, godson, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
