- Bohdan Volodymyrovych Bereziy was born on June 11, 1993, in the village of Zymna Voda, Pustomyty District, Lviv Oblast. In 2017, he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing. From April 26, 2012, to April 4, 2013, Bohdan served in the military on conscription. On September 9, 2022, he was called up for military service due to mobilization to the 7th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. On January 12, 2023, after appropriate training (medical, combat, tactical), junior sergeant Bohdan Bereziy, as part of the combined unit "Volyn," headed to the area of direct combat engagement. The border guard was deployed to the Operational Command "Khortytsia" to carry out combat missions to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk direction. Despite constant mortar and artillery shelling inflicted by the enemy on Ukrainian positions in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Soledar, and Blahodatne in Donetsk Oblast, junior sergeant Bohdan Bereziy bravely and heroically fulfilled all combat tasks. On January 29, 2023, during a firefight in the area of the town of Blahodatne in Donetsk Oblast, junior sergeant Bohdan Bereziy sustained injuries incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions displayed in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for his loyalty to the military oath, junior sergeant Bohdan Volodymyrovych Bereziy was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III class.Memory Book of the MIA System
